The majority of the documents I used when researching Rikugun are listed in the sources sections of the two volumes, and are available at the various archives.
However, when visiting the Naval History Center at the Washington Navy Yard, many years ago, I came across a rough typescript translation of “Summaries of Exploits” of the SNLFs from 1 December 1941 to 31 May 1942. These are short, simple entries identifying where each SNLF was and what it was doing at various times. It allows a chronology of their activities and, interestingly, usually provides their own casualties for each operation. I have no idea who has this document now. The Naval History folks say they transferred their WW II stuff to the National Archives, but it does not seem to show up in the National Archives web catalogue. So here it is.
